I've been in the health industry for over 15 years between Toronto, London and now Owen Sound! Exercise & Nutrition has been my passion for as long as I can remember - this is no doubt what I am most passionate about in life and the best at! I began my career journey as a massage therapist and then transitioned into life coaching and personal training in 2010, this is where I found my true passion.
After becoming a mother in April of 2020 with a challenging birth trauma recovery, I realized just how much the world needs more coaches and trainers that can help a woman through pregnancy and any stage of postpartum, with reducing pain, weakness and improving overall mental health. I am now a Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist and it is my mission to help every pregnant & postpartum woman reduce pain & symptoms from lack of core strength, diastasis recti, pelvic floor issues, improper breathing patterns and overall strength and postpartum mental well-being.
I am SO excited to be joining the Owen Sound Fitness & Training family as a Certified Personal Trainer and most importantly, a Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist!

Hi! I grew up here in Owen Sound and started my fitness journey when I was 16 turning 17 after my dad had tragically passed away. He was a big influence on my youth in regards to sports (mainly soccer) but being from New Zealand he was a semi professional rugby player while he was young. After his passing, this inspired me to take a jab at it myself while still in highschool and I wanted to get stronger and bigger to make him, and myself proud. Ironically I sustained my first injury not on the field but in the gym itself and it hampered me pretty hard for a couple years following. It wasn’t until the New Year of 2019 with McDonalds in my hand and about 50 lbs heavier than I wanted to be that I decided to give the gym another real go and dedicate myself to it fully.
I have always enjoyed helping others and love to see the journey of progress in and out of the gym. With some difficulties early on in my life I feel stronger than I have ever been and hope to help anyone who wants to to get stronger too. I also tell a lot of horrible jokes so fair warning on that!

I grew up playing lots of sports but mainly raced dirt bikes. Eventually I got to a point where in order to improve I would have to spend some time off the bike and in the weight room. After a couple months I realized I loved working out more than I could have ever imagined and took a break from racing dirt bikes to fully focus on weight lifting. After doing that for a while I discovered powerlifting and was very intrigued by the sport. Having a super simple way of seeing progress over time as the numbers went up was super satisfying for me. I have been specifically training in powerlifting for about a year now and hopefully many more to come.
If you're looking to improve your strength, get healthier, more fit and perform the big lifts correctly (as well as all the other necessary accessory movements) then Owen is your guy! He specializes in powerlifting (Squat/Bench/Deadlift) but has a well rounded knowledge in exercise for all goals and is always interested in performing the proper research to train any client(s) for any goal(s)!


DEE MUSZYNSKI

I obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph in Applied Human Nutrition. I then continued my studies at Guelph University and obtained my Masters in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences and pursued my Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification at the same time. I’m in the process of completing my Intuitive Eating Certification and my Girls Gone Strong Women's Coaching Specialist Certification.
After completing my Dietetic Internship at Hamilton Health Sciences and having experience in both hospital and private settings I recognized the need to approach health in a new way.
I’m committed to helping individuals take a proactive approach to their health and their health goals. My main nutritional focus spans from working with athletes in sport performance with experiences ranging from endurance athletes to CrossFit and helping clients navigate healthy sustainable weight loss with nutritional habits that stick.
Whether you are trying to get faster, stronger, looking to lose weight without going on another fad diet, or just trying to build a better relationship with food and body, I'll works with you to come up with an individualized approach that meets you where you are at. Making sure that my recommendations align with your goals and needs and adjusting recommendations when needed.

MITCHELL SHEAVES

I began working out in high school and caught my first pump, been chasing that great feeling ever since. I work as a carpenter for a living, play baseball and live an active lifestyle. I am a firm believer I can still do what I can with relative ease due to my years in the gym! I will always be here 7 days a week, building my house 👊.
Mitchell runs some of our Friday night bootcamps, covers front desk hours and is a huge help with odd construction style jobs and cleaning around the gym. Mitchell was technically one of our earliest hires at the gym, moved away for a number of years, but he's back and just wants to keep some hours at the gym because of his love for OS Fitness and the people here.

CONNOR LIPSKIE

I first started my fitness journey in highschool and from there I loved the way I felt and looked after hitting the gym and have stuck with it ever since, but definitely committed to taking it more seriously in recent years.
Connor is our late night cleaning and organizing team member and has been doing this for well over 5 years now! He organizes equipment, tidies up, vacuums, does loads of laundry and helps out with any other tasks that looks like they might need to be done after the rest of the team has headed home for the night, during unstaffed hours.
ALLIE

Allie is our official greeter. You'll find her wandering in the front lobby, sleeping on one of the couches, or (if you're lucky) you'll catch her with a case of the ZOOMIES, sprinting from couch to couch like a crazy animal!
Allie has been here at Owen Sound Fitness & Training since she was 8 weeks old and spends time here when Josh brings her in so she isn't left home alone all day and the members and personal training clients just love her!
She does a great job at greeting members as they come in and, of course, enjoys a good belly rub!
Allie is an Australian Bernedoodle, very friendly, hypo-allergenic and non-shedding and is the official gym dog of Owen Sound Fitness & Training!
